Lo Starnuto d'ErcoleBaroque opera as it is meant to be - lavishly presented with stage machinery and marionettes. Hercules wreaks havoc in the miniature kingdom of King Kom. Prince Occe, heir to the Realm of Dwarves, and General Vam, honored hero from the recent victory over the cranes, are sent to destroy the giant. In the meantime, Princess Nec has fallen in love with Hercules!
Known affectionately as a "bambociatta" (frolic for the little people), this marionette opera was composed by Adolfo Hasse and staged in 1746 for Venetian Carnival. Reconstructed and performed for the first time in hundreds of years by Carter Family Marionettes.
